8 years. She worked for several years at Dallas Presbyterian Hospital prior to joining Southlake Oncology in August 2008. She works at both the Southlake and Irving locations.
Dr. Kancharla has a special interest in Breast Cancer, Lymphomas, Gastrointestinal and Lung Cancers but she is well trained to treat a broad range of benign hematology and other malignancies. Dr. Kancharla is very compassionate and empathetic, and her goal is to always be available and spend enough time with all her patients and their families to make the cancer journey as simple as possible. Dr. Kancharla was motivated to do an Oncology fellowship following her personal experience, taking care of her father who was diagnosed with Lymphoma at age 42.
Dr. Kancharla has been married for 18 years and is blessed with a supportive & caring husband and a lovely 14 year old son and 12 year old daughter. She enjoys cooking, music and traveling.
